XobsceneGestureX: =o they have very cute shoes at charlotte russe lalalacandyholic: you girl XobsceneGestureX: lol lalalacandyholic: you: "omg cute shoes at charlotte russe!" me: "what does severo ochoa have to do with arthur kornberg winning the nobel prize?!" lalalacandyholic: seriously. i hate arthur kornberg. XobsceneGestureX: lol. XobsceneGestureX: with a latin passion? lalalacandyholic: this is what his wiki article is like:
Arthur Kornberg was born in some year to John and Jane Smith. John Smith's favourite color was blue, whilest Jane Smith was more partial to yellow. John's father, Jim, changed their last name 'cuz he didnt want to be enlisted in the army. Arthur went to college and he had jaundice and polled other students to find out if they were jaundiced too. It was weird. So then he got his MD and did an internship at some place that doesn't matter. Then he went to work at some place and he fed rats food to find vitamins, but he didnt like it so he went to Severo Ochoa's crib to learn more about enzymes.
In 1956 he isolated the first DNA polymerising enzyme, now known as DNA polymerase I. This won him the Nobel prize in 1959.
Then he went to another place and did stuff. BUT THEN OMG his mom died of gangrene because of something having to do with spores! And Kornberg decided tht spores were THE SHIT so he studied them for a while. And then he studied how DNA works in the spore, because he was in love with spores. Oh, btw, he married some lady before he won the nobel prize and she helped him but she didn't get anything. she had 3 kids with him anyway, even though she didnt get credit for his prize and he was so in love with spores he probably had sex with them. lalalacandyholic: it gives me like one line on why he's important lalalacandyholic: and the rest has to do with stuff i dont care about

Baby-sat Curt's baby today, and my goodness is he adorable! He's so quiet and sweet. I love children under 4.
In other baby news, we got a DVD of my fetus-nephew's ultrasound today. It's a 3D ultrasound, so they're apparently supposed to look less blobby, but infants in general look blobby to me, so it can't be helped.

As expected, my parentals weren't so excited to hear that I am going to Japan next March...but there's not much they can do. I'm going to be 18!
Of course, though, uhh...this means that they very much aren't going to help me out with the costs, so coming up with teh cash is all up to me. Woo. Now I definitely need a job, and I need to fund-raise like crazy. I have to admit I'd rather go abroad for a week than go across the stupid US for college. I'll settle for U of M-Twin Cities or even a UW school.
...A UW school that is far, far away from my parents.

Sooo...today, Kayla, Bayann, Jessi, Kristina, and I went to see Hannibal Rising at the Renaissance. Bayann won't be 17 until the end of May, but she was able to squeeze through. ;) Kayla knowing the ticket-lady probably helped...anywho..about half an hour into the movie the fire alarm went off! Sooo everyone in every theatre was forced out into the lobby, but once we got there, they just sent us back to our seats and told us the movies would begin again shortly. Except after we were sitting there for nearly 10 minutes or so, they came back and said the building needed to be evacuated, but if we wanted we could come back a different time and use our same tickets as free passes. There were cops and fire trucks everywhere. O_______o
We were all so pissed. >____< Afterward, the 5 of us went to the mall.. but Jessi and Kristina ran away after a bit and we never saw them again. So we went to IHOP. The End.

I had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that the orthodontist finally told me that I could get my braces off, but instead of taking them off, she gave me a baby. The baby was apparently a clone of me and I had to put a retainer on it before its teeth grew in (no, I don't know what held the damn retainer on!) so that clone-me didn't grow up with my teeth. Yeah. Then I went back and asked her when she was actually taking OFF my braces... and she gave me another baby-clone!
I have weeeirddd dreams.

I think to be a good rockstar, you need to have no eyebrows. Mmm...unless everyone else in your band has no eyebrows. Then it's okay to be different.
